Pondering the begining

In my devotions today I've been going over Genesis and the creation of humans (ch.1-2) I purposefully did not go into ch.3 because for a moment I want to relish in how amazing those first newborn days may have been. Open your eyes to the creation of not only the world your on but an entire galaxy, it must have been breath taking. Sometimes when life isn't swirling by at max speed to get everything done on time...there a moment of calm and I can only imagine what the nature around us must have been in it's first few years. The trees perhaps new and green, never having tasted man made poisons, just drinking in fresh water and growing up big and strong. I sometimes wonder if there are anything left still from that very beginning, any trees that have with-standed the billions of ages.

Creation begins with so much golden awe striking promise of a beautiful relationship between God and man, even having a secret place for just the creator and his creations to meet. It sounds like love. like the excitement that bubbles up when you first met your spouse, when you were young and full of hormones with chemical reactions going wild inside you. like the first month of getting to know them. The world was brand new, the animals were set before man gave him the choice of all their names. imagine looking at a your pet a naming it. I wonder if adam named the first little cat, cat and thus the species was named after his nickname for the creature.

Then theres the promise of two unique human creations Man and Woman each incredibly unique in their own right.  God defines the woman whom he is going to make for man as a suitable companion to helphim (gen 2:18) 'Help' states plainly enough that the duality should not entail any rivalry, although the word has been used to show subordination in contexts. But in the Old Testament, in 15 cases out of 21 times it is God who is the helpof man. This causes me to wonder about submission between wives and husbands, since these days it's so clearly twisted. Society seems to flip n flop over who gets to wear the pants this decade or that. First, men thinking they are superior and women stay home and cook, clean, raise kids. They aren't allowed to work or vote, it's like their opinions don't matter. And then theirs a feminist uprising and we can work and vote, but then in my opinion it got out of hand. They practically spat on any polite gestures by men. So thank you feminists I get to open my own door, which I like having to the option of but I'd give it up in a heart beat for some common curtesy. I bet I would have made an awful feminist, I love it when a guys a gentleman and opens a door for you. Its sad that's "old fashioned" I wish it were "new fashioned":) How often do I head into,.. well anywhere, and the person ahead of me just lets the door go slams in my face as I reach it. Common curtesy is all but lost. Yes, we need our opinions to be heard, to vote, to work, but who cares who opens the door. If gets opened for you it shows the person saw you coming and was kind enough to take time out of their day to wait and be kind to you, who said anything about you not being able to do it yourself, its a kindness, say thank you.

sorry..Anywho, now you see commercials with the wife either racing around from her busy job or in the kitchen laughing at how helpless her husband is. Feminists, I'm just saying thats mean. if you can't say anything nice about him listen to Thumper and don't say anything at all. Women are not better and men are not better, the decades just show a rivalry that was not meant to happen. We were made differently and it is clearly stated that wives are to submit to their husbands, as husbands are made to lead. That doesn't mean blind following, it means making decisions together as a companion, a helper, to the male species, and in circumstances where you disagree you honour, God and submit to the mans decision. 'Companion' requires more (neged (Hebrew) The Hebrew term means literally 'as opposite him'; so the man and the woman are not simply side by side, they must be genuinely different on the basis of their common humanity. Perhaps this is a hint at how unique we each are in body and mind.
We as genders think completely different and this kind of difference is not meant to be bad but to give man or woman another perspective on life. God transforms chaos into cosmos by Word and by Spirit. I get a bit carried away because it's amazing to take the word and read it, pondering how amazing God is and then to also ponder how we in 2012 are following him.

Today I've been bed ridden by the electric sharp pains I get in my viens from this disorder. It reminds me how careful I must be with the amount of stress and activity in my life. With studying for finals, and finishing projects, keeping up the household things, my bodies been pushed hard then when I went to classes I caught the cold going around my college because my immune systems was just recovering from the 4 week long sinus infection/cold..so this next bug has kicked me just as I was getting up and I'm down again. I'm exhausted, stressed and exhausted, so I've slept a lot and will probably be having a really rough week this week. At least it includes the rare occasion of seeing a specialist I've waited months n months n months to see!(I'm praying it will be worth the wait) As for today I can't function a whole lot from pain and my brains either having a nice break, or on strike or both yet, I'm kinda glad to just be in bed. I'm wishing I could stay here and hibernate a while.  Any who Goodnight world :)
